- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆The only bank I know of that puts a 7 day hold on a payroll check. I was told that it was due to my "account history". I have an account history of being overcharged with service charges! In fact I'm probably one of thier best customers because they make so much money from me. I'm taking my money to Wells Fargo, I'm tired of them cashing my check, making interest for a week and then making funds available. I think there's a bill in Congress right now that hopefully will get passed to stop these bush league, small town banks from screwing the small guy. I give them two stars based on crappy online banking long lines and their check hold policy on my out of state payroll checks!By A Google User, February 19, 2017
